One of the safest online meeting software Google Meet is now integrated with Booking Commerce.

So Considering this necessity, We have launched another long-awaited add-on in our “Booking commerce platform named “Google Meet”. This “Google Meet” add-on will allow the merchant to send automated meeting links when merchants confirm the consumer’s appointment.
& These meetings will sync with the merchant’s Google calendar automatically.
Installation & Configuration
For the installation and the configuration please follow the path Booking commerce panel >> addons >> Google Meet.
As you can see, it is currently installed in my booking commerce which is why it is showing as installed.
Now move to the configuration section. In the configuration section, you need to enter the Client ID and Client Secret.
Steps To Get Client ID And Client Secret:
Log-in/Signup to Google Cloud Console: https://console.cloud.google.com/getting-started?pli=1
- Then click on “New project”
Enter Project Name & Location:
Enable Google Calendar API from the side menu API & Services(search Google Calendar API and enable it).
- Now go to API & Services-> credentials(from side menu), and click on +create credentials->OAth client ID from the header in the right side.
Then We’ll land on the below screen & from here Click on “Configure Consent Screen”:
Here Choose the user type “External” and click on the “Create” button:
Then Enter app name & fill all the mandatory fields & Click on Save on Continue:
Now again, Go to API & Services-> credentials(from side menu), and click on +create credentials->OAth client ID from the header in the right side:
Then we’ll redirect on the below screen & Here Choose the Application Type to “Web Application” , Enter Name and authorized Redirect URI and click on the “Create” button.

Once the OAuth Client ID gets created, We’ll land on the below screen where we’ll get Client ID & Client Secret:
6. Now add the client ID and client Secret in the Google Meet configuration under “Booking app”:
Now enter the client ID and Client secret
How To Get Access Token and Refresh Token
Firstly Click on the “Generate Access Token” tab & then you’ll be redirected to the Google account page & Here merchants need to sign into his/her “Gmail Accounts”.
Note: The “Generate Access Token” tab will be enabled only when we add the client ID and client secret first.
Once the sign-in to “Gmail Account” is done then you’ll be redirected on the below screen & You just need to click on “Continue”.
These are just some security checks from Google end which we can pass by clicking on the “Continue” tab.
Then, We’ll get the “Access Token ” & “Refresh Token”.
Now, Add the Access Token & Refresh Token.
The above-entered Access Token $ Refresh Token is for global use But if the Admin, agent, or any other member wants to create their own then yes they can create & configure it.
To enter the Access Token & Refresh Token, visit your respective panel >> account setting >> Google Meet configuration.
Google Meet Configuration
After successfully creating and adding the client & secret key, Access Token & Refresh Token. YOu will get a new configuration under the configuration >> Bookings.
Allow Google Meet link for all appointment-type booking products: By enabling this configuration the Google Meet link will be for all the appointment-type booking products.
Note:- You need to configure your “Booking Confirmed” email template by adding this placeholder: “{%google_meet_link%}” to generate a “Google Meet Link” for your customers.
But in case you want to enable link, booking product-wise then make the above configuration disabled and visit booking product >> edit particular appointment type booking >> Google Meet link.
Now enable the Google Meet link configuration for this particular booking product.
Note: The above configuration is only visible to the admin If the admin disables the global configuration from the Google Meet configuration section.
But in case the configuration is enabled from the booking configuration then on the booking edit page the Google Meet link configuration will not be visible.
Workflow
- As an admin, you need to install and configure the addon.
- After installation, configure the addons add the Global Access token, and Refresh the Token.
- If the owner and the agent want to add the personal/separate Access token and Refresh Token then add them as well under the account setting >> Google Meet configuration.
- The admin can add the Google Meet link variable to the booking confirmed mail template.
To add the Google Meet link in the Booking confirmed mail please visit the admin panel >> configuration >> template >> edit the template >> add variable as shown in the below image.
- So that the customer creates a booking on an appointment-type booking product as shown below.
Now back to the admin panel, when the admin confirms the booking of the customer, the customer gets a booking confirmed mail with the Google Meet link as shown below.
If the admin confirms the agent booking from the admin panel then the agent also gets an email regarding the booking confirmed.
